Each resident is screened before being accepted into the program to ensure that they are passionate about their recovery and willing to go to any length to achieve and maintain a permanent and happy state of sobriety. The La Jolla Recovery community is a very diverse group of people of many races, ages, and interests. We have created a sober living community that anybody would be proud to call home. Our sober living environment consists of a group of guys that are not victims in sobriety. How did La Jolla Recovery begin?
A: I was looking for a clean, safe home in an upscale neighborhood, and most importantly structure, and recovery-oriented management and routine. Also I wanted a community that I could relate to, a group of people that want to get well and get on with their lives.
Q #2 Tell us a little about the Career Counseling La Jolla Recovery offers
A: Each resident is encouraged to meet with our expert career counselor, Dr. Alexandria Drecun. Dr. Drecun is a clinical psychologist that specializes in career counseling for former drug addicts and alcoholics. We help them implement a clear strategy for reaching their new career and personal goals and overcoming their fears and self defeating attitude in the process.
Q #3 What are some aspects of your program that people might not know about?
A: We offer programs to help our residents achieve Financial Sobriety, we want them to learn about Nutrition, Exercise, to be involved in community service such as Habitat for Humanity, to build positive Self Esteem, and ultimately to learn how to foster Healthy Relationships in their lives.
