St. Joseph Institute Overview

St. Joseph Institute offers a very comprehensive faith-based treatment program that combines “best practices” to deliver superior outcomes. Our program is holistic, treating the whole person – body, mind, emotions and spirit. We focus on the reasons behind the addiction, helping the person heal, grow and discover the strengths that will enable lasting recovery. Our professional staff is experienced with a wide range of co-occurring conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and chronic pain. The Wellness team offers a personalized program for each resident that may include bodywork, nutritional balancing to promote wellness and reduce cravings, therapies for pain, private counseling, fitness programming and spiritual direction. Above all, we treat every person with dignity and compassion, as we work together to achieve wellness and freedom from addiction.

Facilities Description

St. Joseph Institute was built in 2005 as an exclusive resort and spa. The log and stone lodges are beautifully appointed with many amenities including the region’s largest spa, a gym, walking trails, recreation areas, library and chapel. Accommodations are in small lodges with private bed rooms and bathrooms. The 200 acre campus is very private, located in the rolling mountains near State College (the home of Penn State University).
