How will smoking cannabis through a bong affect my health?

It's better than smoking it in a joint, especially one mixed with tobacco, but not entirely without its health effects. Smoking anything is bad for you. Cannabis smoke actually contains higher concentrations of carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) than tobacco smoke, and cannabis smokers generally inhale more, deeper and hold it for longer depositing more than 4 times as much tar on their lungs as cigarette smokers. But then they smoke less cigarettes less often than smokers.

Most doctors researching in this area consider chronic cannabis use to be a risk factor in developing respiratory cancer.

Is it possible to overdose or die off magic mushrooms?

Not easily. Psilocybin (the active ingredient in mushrooms) is not poisonous. You would have to consume a huge amount (100 g) for it to become toxic. The main danger from magic mushrooms is either picking the wrong (toxic) mushrooms or taking too many and ending up in a dimension of your choosing. Typically, with dried shrooms, you don't want to take more than 5 grams (very powerful trip), or 50 grams of fresh "wet" mushrooms.

See our magic mushrooms guide for more details.

What is the addiction potential of LSD?

Physically speaking, virtually zero. The typical amount of LSD ingested is microscopic (100 millionths of a gram) and tolerance builds up quickly - you have to wait 3 or 4 days before LSD will work on you again.

However, like any drug, you can get captivated by the way it makes you feel and the insights you may have under its influence. It is possible to become psychological addicted to LSD. And if you're doing it twice a week or every weekend, it will become difficult to it relate to the 'real world'.

I have a one pound bag of mushrooms but it's mostly powder - is that still good?

Psilocybin (the active ingredient in shrooms) varies a lot from mushroom to mushroom. It is often better to powder mushrooms before taking them to ensure an even dose.

If a person tried LSD once ten years ago, will it be detected in any kind of drug testing?

No. LSD traces are out of the body within 48 hours. Only a hair test could theoretically detect traces long term but after 90 days the results are unreliable.

Could you list any everyday medicines which could be mistaken for amphetamines in a drug test?

you can find that information here

what does PCP look like?

PCP usually comes as a white powder or crystal, but sometimes as tablets or a colorless liquid. It is taken in very small quantities (under 10mg) and has a dissociative, psychedelic effect very much like Ketamine.
