At Skywood, we are deeply invested in helping you regain your health. Our programming approach to recovery is designed with that in mind, from individual and group therapy to adventure therapy, art therapy and yoga. Each of these activities builds on the others to get to the root causes of addiction, introduce healthy new habits, address any co-occurring mental health issues and provide the mental and physical space you need in order to heal. We also provide access to regular 12-Step meetings and peer support groups. What we do at Skywood is different for several reasons. First, we treat addiction and mental health at the same time in a highly integrated way, looking to restore a person’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Second, we focus on resolving trauma, underlying issues and deep-rooted emotional pain that often causes substance abuse in the first place. Lastly, we emphasize life skills that help each person build a foundation for sustainable, long-term recovery.
The founders of the Asheville Recovery Program have experienced addiction and alcoholism themselves, and today they are grateful to live a life of recovery and to be able to give back to the community. Our facility was founded on the principle that everyone who suffers from addiction has the right and the ability to achieve long-term recovery if they are given the tools necessary. That’s why treatment at Asheville utilizes evidence-based therapeutic methods alongside elements of twelve-step fellowships, such as accountability, tough love, and fellowship. We have taken what gave us the freedom from addiction we so desperately sought at the beginning of our journeys and molded it into a program that truly works. Everything we do comes from a deep passion for helping others who suffer from addiction- we truly care about each of our patients as a part of our family in recovery. At Asheville, you have a safe place to heal and staff members who will walk alongside you at every step of your journey.
Recovery Ranch is a structured sober living for men. Founded on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and the principles of John Wooden, our main purpose is change. At the Ranch, we live as gentlemen and practice contrary action. We understand that focusing on becoming the best we are capable of becoming, and leading with selflessness and recovery, are fundamental to having a beautiful life free from addiction. This foundation for success is achieved through constant accountability. We are loving and compassionate, and we are brutally honest. We work hard, play hard, and show up for our lives today.
